The past years have been turbulent for the aviation industry, and there are still clouds on the horizon. First the global pandemic brought traveling to almost a stand-still. Now a very rapid increase in air travel has put great pressure on an industry not yet fully recovered. A key challenge for many airports is how to improve the quality of service for travelers and partners while there is limited scope for further physical expansion with more terminals and airstrips. The aviation industry increasingly needs digital solutions leveraging big data and smart AI technology to improve the quality of our network and services. In this session Dr. Tor Boe-Lillegraven, Chief Data Officer at Royal Schiphol Group, will discuss experiences from executing a data strategy during crisis, and provide some reflections on the outlook for the aviation industry.
