Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology and CSO/Co-fouder Nemo Healthcare
Rik Vullings is Assistant Professor in the Signal Processing Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology. He did his PhD research in the group on analysis and interpretation of the non-invasively recorded fetal electrocardiogram to aid in the timely assessment of fetal distress. This technology is now being marketed through the spinoff company Nemo Healthcare, of which Vullings is co-founder and CSO. In 2012, Vullings received a VENI grant to continue his research on pregnancy monitoring at TU/e. His research interests include biomedical signal processing and modeling, machine learning and pattern recognition. His main medical application areas are perinatology, cardiology, and somnology.
